Uttar Pradesh: 49,568 Candidates Clear Police Constable Recruitment Exam
Vacancies announced in 2018 have now been filled.
Uttar Pradesh has got 49,568 new police constables. The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has released the merit list of candidates selected for the post of constable. They have been selected with Uttar Pradesh Civil Police and Reserve PAC.
According to reports, the written test for the recruitment was conducted in January 2019.
According to a report in ANI," as many as 23 lakh forms were submitted to appear in the test."
In 2018, the UPPRPB had announced more than 49,000 vacancies for the post of constables. Out of these 31,360 were announced for Civil Constables "and 18,208 for the Reserve Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) (Male)."
Candidates who made it through all stages of the selection have been included in the merit list. UPPRP has published the results on its website.
According to reports, shortlisted candidates were then called for Document Verification and Physical Standard Test (PST). The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) was completed last month.
According to this report, the merit position has been given on the basis of the marks scored by the candidates in the written test.
