In the previous assembly elections held in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, there came a situation where both Jyotiraditya Scindia and Sachin Pilot had a legitimate claim to lead their states as chief ministers. However, after much consultation, the senior leaders were picked -- Ashok Gehlot in Rajasthan and Kamal Nath in Madhya Pradesh.
It appears that the repercussions of that are now being felt -- at least in the light of Jyotiraditya Scindia's exit from Congress and entry into the BJP. Is Sachin Pilot headed in a similar direction? Not quite, because circumstances differ greatly between the two. Although who can say for sure?
