The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced its strategy for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls o where it plans to contest 100 seats and target winning in 25 of them to be in a “comfortable” position for striking post poll bargains with opposition parties in the event of the NDA not securing a majority.
A senior leader of the party is reported to have expressed the party’s desire to focus on winning seats from the states of Haryana, Punjab and Delhi where the party has an “effective organisational set up”. Further, the party also plans to contest Lok Sabha seats in the states of Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Gujarat.
The party currently has four Lok Sabha seats, all from the state of Punjab. It is expected that the party would focus on increasing its representation from the state which sends 13 Members of Parliament while also making efforts to secure representation from Haryana which has 10 Lok Sabha seats.

The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
