Following BJP’s major inroads in West Bengal which has seen the party lead on 18 seats, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has tweeted that the party would do a complete review and them issue a statement. She congratulated all the winners but at the same time said that “all losers are not losers”.
Congratulations to the winners. But all losers are not losers. We have to do a complete review and then we will share our views with you all. Let the counting process be completed fully and the VVPATs matched

The Trinamool supremo though looked at clinging on to the hope of her party improving its tally, by urging people to wait for the counting process to complete.
West Bengal has turned out to be one of the biggest stories of the elections with BJP coming a close second by leading on 18 seats as opposed to the Trinamool’s 22 leads. Congress is leading on on solitary seat.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
