A day after putting the state's under lockdown, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Monday announced a full curfew in the state. Only essential services will be allowed to function.
This decision came into immediate effect as people were not adhering to lockdown rules appropriately. The Deputy Commissioners have been directed to issue orders accordingly, a government official told IANS.
The state's coronavirus cases spiked to 21 with one death.
As per reports no relaxations will be provided during the curfew period, and those seeking exemption would have to show a specific purpose. They will then be provided permission for a specific time period.

The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
