Eight More Covid-19 Positive Cases In Assam, All Nizamuddin Tablighi Jamaat Event Attendees

Eight more persons, all of them returnees from the Tablighi Jamaat congregation at Nizamuddin, have tested positive for Covid-19 in Assam Wednesday evening.
Assam health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma disclosed this in a tweet.

All eight new cases are of people who also participated in #TablighiJamaat congregation at #NizamuddinMarkaz.
Update at 9 pm / April 1
So far, 13 people--all were part of the congregation at Nizamuddin--have tested positive in Assam. While one person tested positive Tuesday evening, the remaining tested positive on Wednesday.
Four persons from Assam who had attended the congregation but stayed back at Nizamuddin have also tested positive, said Sarma. It is feared that the count will go up in Assam.
