State run defence manufacturer Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, known for manufacturing Light Combat Aircraft Tejas is currently facing employee unrest over wage disputes.
The HAL employee union which has been carrying out relay strikes across the country seeking wage revision in fair manner, has now served a strike notice to the management, due to dissatisfaction over the negotiations carried out so far, Times of India has reported.
The strike notice claims that despite a series of letters written to the CMD, the HAL management instead of taking initiatives to settle the wage revision fairly decided to reiterate points which have been deemed incorrect by the union.
The union claims that there has been a deliberate delay in wage revision settlement for workers while the revision has already been implemented for executives.
The All India HAL Trade Unions (AIHALTU) has claimed that it is left with no choice but to agitate as a result of the management’s outlook and announced that the employees would go on a strike any day after 17 July.

Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
