Indian and Israeli heath experts will jointly develop rapid testing systems which can be used to conduct a Covid-19 test in less than a minute. This is the highest level of R&D cooperation between the two countries, Times of India has reported.
This test will employ technologies like Artificial Intelligence and seeks to allow the populace to return back to normal routine.
Premier Indian agencies like the Defence Research and Development Organisation (Drdo) and the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) are expected to join hands with Israel’s directorate of R&D.
India has in the past collaborated with Israel over R&D efforts pertaining to fields like quantum computing, artificial intelligence and robotics.
Israel had recently announced that it had developed a monoclonal antibody to potentially the Covid-19 causing SARS-CoV-2 virus. It is expected to share the results with the world after final clinical results are available.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
