Jammu And Kashmir: 800 Terrorists Eliminated By Security Forces Between 2014-18, Says MoS Shripad Naik

The Minister of State (MoS) for Defence, Shripad Naik apprised the Lok Sabha on Wednesday that in the period of 2014-18, a total of 800 terrorists have been eliminated by the security forces in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, reports Asian News International (ANI).
Naik further revealed that a total of 104 terrorists had been eliminated in 2014, 97 in 2015, 140 in 2016, 210 in 2017 and 249 in 2018. "Sustained synergised operations conducted by the security forces have resulted in the elimination of a large number of terrorists," informed Naik.
Responding to a question asked by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Nitesh Ganga Deb, MoS Naik also added that, "The security forces are combating the terrorist activities both along the LoC by eliminating the infiltration bids, and in the hinterland by carrying out counter-terrorist operations and responding to terrorist initiated incidents."
In the ongoing year (2019), so far, the security forces have eliminated more than 100 terrorists in the hinterlands of the state.
