The flood of dismaying news from Jammu and Kashmir continues. After the abysmally low turnout in the bypolls and all the exasperating events that followed, there has now emerged a video of PDP leader being forced to chant anti-India slogans at gunpoint.
The leader in question is Wali Mohammed Bhat. In the clip, Bhat is visibly petrified and is seen apologising to the jihadis, as a gun is seen pointed at him. Following this, he goes on to chant ‘Allahu Akbar’ followed by ‘Go Back India’ and ‘Hindustan Murdabad’.
The clip embedded below was tweeted out by author and journalist Rahul Pandita.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
