Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his speech in the Lok Sabha on Thursday (7 February) launched a scathing attack on the Congress party and the opposition.
He claimed that Congress leaders see two periods, BC - Before Congress when nothing happened and AD - After Dynasty where everything happened.
He took a shot at the opposition which he claimed in its hate against Modi has started hating the nation. He then pointedly shot that his crime in their eyes is that someone born in a poor family is challenging their Sultanate.
He then took on the Congress by stating that Congress which has misused section 356 multiple times is accusing him of destroying institutions. He also added that the Commonwealth Games were an opportunity to boost their personal wealth.
During his speech Modi said that Babasaheb Ambedkar was always ahead of his time when he had said that joining Congress is like committing suicide.
He also took on the alleged crony capitalism during the UPA period by stating that the “phone banking of the UPA did wonders for the friends of their leaders”. He blamed this favouritism for many problems plaguing many banking system.
Before concluding his speech, Modi assured that those who have looted the nation would continue to be scared of him and that arrogance brought down the Congress party from 400 to 44.
