The Muslims will not give up their claim on Babri Masjid and the mosque will remain in Ayodhya, said All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president Asaduddin Owaisi.
Speaking in Delhi yesterday (Saturday), he expressed hope the Supreme Court will deliver judgement in their favour, and that the court will hand down a verdict on the basis of evidence, not on religious beliefs.
Hamari masjid wahan par hai, thi, aur inshaallah rahegi aur dubara wahan par banayenge, jab Supreme Court hamare haath mein faisla dega. Aur faisla aayega to humko puri ummid hai, ki aastha ke buniyad par nahin, evidence ke buniyad par aayega: Asaduddin Owaisi in #Delhi pic.twitter.com/Vi59JVsdEp

Owaisi vowed that the mosque will be reconstructed after the apex court hands down a verdict in their favour.
"The people who threaten to leave the masjid and speak against our `shariat`, I would like to tell them that we will never leave that space," Owaisi said.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
