Rajasthan Govt Announces Lockdown Like Curbs From 19 April To 3 May As COVID-19 Cases Surge

In a bid to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the State, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot led Rajasthan Government has announced a statewide lockdown like curbs from 5 am today (19 April) to 5 am of 3 May, reports CNBC TV18.
Calling it "Jan Anushashan Pakhwada", the State Government has ordered that during this span, all offices and markets will remain closed while shops and offices providing essential services will be allowed to operate.
During the lockdown like phase, the sale of fruits and vegetables will be allowed till 7pm, while home delivery of processed foods and that from restaurants and sweet shops will be permitted till 8pm. Also, newspaper vendors will be allowed to carry out distribution from 4-8am.
Meanwhile, all educational and coaching institutions, cinema halls, multiplexes and amusements will remain shut. Also, the number of guests in private functions, weddings and other social gatherings has been restricted to 50, while not more than 20 persons will be allowed at funerals.
In addition to these, those entering Rajasthan will have to present a negative RT-PCR test report issued 72 hours before the travel.
