Silver betel leaves will be used during the Ram Mandir's Bhoomi Pujan on 5 August, with the ceremony being supervised by noted vyakran (grammar) and astrology scholars, Hindustan Times has reported.
These silver betel leaves have been donated by members of the Chaurasiya community in Varanasi who presented it to the Vidwat Parishad.
The Vidwat Parishad which is an organisation of Veda, Astrology, Paninian and Saskrit Grammar scholars, will send its intellectuals for supervising the rituals of the Bhoomi Pujan.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today (3 August) visited Ayodhya to review preparations for the Bhoomi Pujan. Besides giving instructions to senior officials, Yogi also took darshan of Hanuman Garhi and offered his prayers there.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
