Too Sick To Teach: College Prof Zaheer Syed Applies Leave Claiming He Cannot Stomach Developments In Maharashtra Politics

In a bizzare turn of events, a professor in Maharashtra applied for a sick leave claiming that he went in to a “shock” over the dramatic political developments that unfolded in Maharashtra politics on Saturday (Nov 24), Indian Express reported.
Zaheer Syed, who is a English teacher at a college in Gadchandur, 43 kms away from Chandrapur city in Vidarbha region of the state, said, “I fell sick and went into shock in the morning after watching the news about unfolding political drama in the state”.
Zaheer’s leave application was however rejected by the college principal.
The purported leave application of the professor went viral on social media.
