Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has set the foundation of 175 road works in the Gorakhpur and Sahjanwa region on Thursday (8 October), Times of India reports. The total worth of these projects is projected to be around Rs 122 crore and they are slated to be completed in the next three-four months.
Jayant Narlirkar is the divisional commissioner of the concerned sector. He has been instructed to appoint a nodal officer for each work to look after the speedy completion of the tasks in the next three-four months.
“The image of Gorakhpur is changing, as it is increasingly getting industrialised. The Pipraich sugar mill is already running now, the international airport will start next month and the fertilizer plant will be functional next year. The biofuel plant is also coming up,” the CM said whilst launching this initiative online.
Furthermore, the 48-year-old leader has asked for a thorough underground cabling of electric wires. In addition to that, he has also mandated adequate drainage channels along these roads.
Having been elected to the Parliament on five consecutive terms from Gorakhpur, Yogi Adityanath had vouched for development to be visible in each and every lane of the constituency.

The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
