In a vote of confidence for the Yogi Adityanath lead BJP government in Uttar Pradesh, the party is all set to win seven out of 11 by-poll seats. NDA ally Apna Dal is winning one seat which takes the total NDA tally to eight out of 11 seats.
The rest three seats are set to be won by the Akhilesh Yadav led Samajwadi party. Both the Congress and the BSP have failed to open their accounts.
The BSP might end up winning the assembly constituency of Jalalpur as the SP candidate Subhash Rai is leading by a margin of just 913 votes.
The BJP bagged a vote share of 35.55 per cent followed by a distant second Samajwadi Party which bagged 22.57 per cent vote share.

Introducing ElectionsHQ + 50 Ground Reports Project
The 2024 elections might seem easy to guess, but there are some important questions that shouldn't be missed.
Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
