Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for development projects worth Rs 14,260 crore during Chhattisgarh’s 25th State Foundation Day celebrations on Saturday (1 November), reported Hindustan Times.
Officials said PM Modi arrived in Raipur at 9.40 am and visited Shri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, where he interacted with 2,500 children who had been treated for congenital heart diseases under the Gift of Life initiative.
At 10.45 am, he inaugurated Shanti Shikhar of the Brahma Kumaris, a modern centre for spiritual learning, peace, and meditation.
PM Modi then unveiled a statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and inaugurated the new Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly building in Nava Raipur.
Around 1.30 pm, PM Modi will visit the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Memorial and Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum, launch its online portal and the e-book Aadi Shourya, and unveil a horse-mounted statue of Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh.
During the Rajat Mahotsav, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for projects across roads, industry, healthcare, and energy, including 12 new SVEP blocks across nine districts.
He will lay the foundation for a four-lane greenfield Pathalgaon–Kunkuri highway to the Chhattisgarh–Jharkhand border under Bharatmala (Rs 3,150 crore) and upgrade NH-130D connecting Bastar and Narayanpur districts.
In energy, PM Modi will inaugurate nine substations (Rs 480 crore) and Hindustan Petroleum’s new Raipur depot (Rs 460 crore) 54,000 kilolitres capacity.
He will dedicate the 489-km Nagpur–Jharsuguda Natural Gas Pipeline (Rs 1,950 crore).
PM Modi will also lay foundation stones for two Smart Industrial Areas, a Pharmaceutical Park, five government medical colleges, and the Government Ayurveda College and Hospital in Bilaspur.
