Karnataka Chief Minister (CM) Basavraj Bommai has opened up a dashboard that will pave the way for real-time monitoring of major projects in Bengaluru in order to avoid delays and speedy implementation.
The dashboard will be providing appropriate and up-to-date information regarding the concerned projects.
“Officers should pay equal importance to planning as well as implementation. Senior officers must ensure that the officials at grassroot levels deliver the facility to the last man in the society,” CM Bommai was quoted in a report by the Hindustan Times.
He added, “Effective implementation will bring people closer to the system and they feel that someone is there for them. We need to strive to achieve this.”
Several ongoing mega projects like the metro, flyovers, outer ring roads and other public works have mounted challenges to the city, where a massive 9.4 million vehicles traverse regularly.
In fact, CM Bommai had admitted in the monsoon session of the legislative assembly that about Rs 20,000 crore has been spent in repairing roads in the capital of Karnataka in the last five years.
The CM had formerly expressed that he would be dedicating the first working hour every day to monitor the ongoing projects in Bengaluru.
