Kejriwal made this statement over reportedly being called an anti-Hindu by the BJP. Kejriwal also said that he regularly takes Darshan at a Hanuman temple and proceeded to recite part of the Hanuman Chalisa.
Many on social media refused to buy this new avatar of Kejriwal, by pointing out his hypocrisy over Hinduism.
This is the same Kejriwal, who shared a meme of Swastik insulting sentiments of Hindus.

Hanuman Chalisa during election is nothing but a stunt.

People have also opined that the Hanuman Bhakt avatar is Kejriwal’s attempt to copy former Congress president Rahul Gandhi who has been described by his party as a Janeudhari Shiv Bhakt.
