An alleged Trinamool Congress worker has died in West Bengal's Murshidabad district after an explosion while he was making crude bombs in his house, Hindustan Times has reported.
The incident happened in the Shamsergunj area on Saturday night (15 August).
As per the report the diseased identified as 40-year-old Humayun Kabir had a criminal background and was arrested multiple times in the past. He had reportedly gone to make bombs on his terrace at night after having dinner. His neighbours soon heard a loud explosion and found him lying in a pool of blood.
The cops who are investigating the matter have now claimed that the family removed the evidence from the scene after his death. The local Trinamool spokesperson has now come out to claim that no member of his party was involved in this incident.
Last month two men had died in the district while making bombs, with cops suspecting that hoarding of explosives and firearms has begun in light of the assembly polls next year.
