Proxgy, an industrial internet of things (IoT) startup, has unveiled the Lockator smart lock, specifically designed for the transportation and logistics industry, particularly for wagons and fixed containers.
Featuring satellite and mesh connectivity, the Lockator ensures constant connection to the back-end dashboard, allowing real-time transmission of data and lock/unlock commands, as per a report by The Hindu Businessline.
This connectivity remains reliable even in areas with zero network coverage, including deep seas.
Pulkit Ahuja, founder and CEO of Proxgy, highlighted the significant growth potential of the Indian logistics market, projected to reach $317 billion by 2024, with a compound annual growth rate of 9 per cent until 2029.
Ahuja has emphasised that Proxgy's Lockator is well-positioned to capitalise on this growth, offering unmatched security and monitoring capabilities to an industry in need of innovative logistics solutions.
The 'Made-in-India' Lockator boasts advanced features such as satellite connectivity, integration with LoRaWAN mesh networks, remote lock/unlock capabilities, RFID and NFC smart key unlock, geo-location tracking, geo-fencing, and real-time tamper alerts.
The Lockator's applications are versatile, ranging from securing oil containers against pilferage to ensuring the integrity of examination papers en route to centres.
The introduction of Lockator is expected to elevate security standards across various sectors, offering a reliable solution to longstanding challenges in asset transportation and logistics.
Ahuja noted that its innovative technology ensures the protection of valuable goods from theft, tampering, and unauthorised access, ushering in a new era in logistics management.
The Lockator operates on Proxgy's Assist.Live backend dashboard, providing real-time access, monitoring, and analytics.
