8-Foot-Tall Gold-Plated Marble Throne For Ram Lalla's Idol, Ground Floor Of Ayodhya Temple To Complete By 15 December

The Ram Temple in Ayodhya is set to receive an opulent addition—an eight-foot-tall gold-plated marble throne for Ram Lalla's idol, currently in the skilled hands of artisans in Rajasthan.

According to Economic Times, Anil Mishra, a member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, has confirmed that this resplendent throne is expected to grace Ayodhya by 15 December.

The designated place for this magnificent throne is the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Temple. The throne boasts dimensions of eight feet in height, three feet in length, and four feet in width.

Mishra also shared that devotees of Lord Ram have made generous donations of gold and silver items, including coins and bricks, both before and after the Trust's formation.

However, to address security concerns, these contributions will be melted down into a solid block under the supervision of a reputable organisation, ensuring their safety.

In anticipation of the grand consecration ceremony, construction efforts for the Ram Temple have been expedited, with an increased workforce to meet project demands. Mishra emphasised the need for the ground floor of the temple to be completed by 15 December, irrespective of any challenges.

He provided progress updates, noting that the first floor is 80 per cent complete, the construction of the sanctum sanctorum is finished, and work on the flooring of the Parikrama Marg is also complete. The current focus is on laying marble on the floor of the Griha Mandap and other areas, including the stairs.

Mishra further detailed the ongoing construction work, indicating that roofing work on all three floors of the passenger convenience center has been finalised, and safety equipment is being installed.

The entrance gate of the Ram Mandir's outer wall (parkota) is in its final stages and will be completed by the end of November. Moreover, 17 out of the total 19 pillars on the first floor have been installed, and it is anticipated that the first floor will also have a roof by 15 December.
