In Securing India the Modi Way: Pathankot, Surgical Strikes and More, Nitin Gokhale provides a personal account of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s approach to national security and foreign policy initiatives. He draws on internal memos, meeting notes, interviews and the like to create this book.
Painstakingly researched, the book details hitherto unknown aspects of the planning and execution of the surgical strikes, the revamping of New Delhi’s policy towards China and Pakistan and Modi’s attempts at leveraging the Indian diaspora worldwide.
Gokhale is a prolific author with books such as Beyond NJ 9842: The Siachen Saga and 1965 Turning the Tide: How India Won the War, to his credit.
He sat down with Swarajya to discuss his new book, Modi’s security apparatus, Pakistan and the North East.
