The famous Katra Ramlila committee in Prayagraj has made an interesting decision for this year's Ramlila.
They will include a new episode on the conversation between Ravan and Banasur.
This committee is known for beginning the Ramlila with the birth of demon king Ravan. The Ramlila will take place from 14 October to 21 October.
Last year, during the Ramlila, the Katra Ramleela committee showcased a special episode on Shanta Devi, Lord Ram's sister.
Subhodh Singh, the director of the Ramleela, explained that not many people are aware of the conversation between Ravan and Banasur during the swayamvar of Sita, as reported by Times Of India.
Therefore, they have decided to include a new episode on this conversation during the Ramlila.
The new episode on the conversation between Ravan and Banasur will provide the audience with a deeper understanding. It will be a 1 hour and 37 minutes long episode, which has never been performed by any Ramlila committee in the city.
This will give the audience a unique experience and insight into this lesser-known aspect of the story.
The episode has already been dubbed by actors in Mumbai, under the guidance of Jeet Singh Parihar.
Parihar is experienced in dubbing and has dubbed over 300 movies in various languages including Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
This ensures that the episode will be of high quality and well-presented to the audience.
For the first time, Parihar announced that they have dubbed the Ravan-Banasura samvad. Banasur, who attended Sita's swayamvar, engaged in a lengthy conversation with Ravan.
Previously, they would use clips from the famous Ramayan serial (Ramanand Sagar) for the Ravan-Banasur samvad. However, this time, they will showcase a unique episode of the Ravan-Banasur samvad in the Katra Ramlila.
Interestingly, the Katra Ramlila commences with the birth of Ravan, as the place is considered to be his maternal grandfather's house.
