Kerala's First Vande Bharat Express Between Thiruvananthapuram And Kasargod To Be Flagged Off By PM Modi Tomorrow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the Vande Bharat Express train connecting Thiruvananthapuram and Kasargod in Kerala.
This will be the first Vande Bharat Express train to be launched in Kerala.
The train will be flagged off by PM Modi at Thiruvananthapuram Central Station during his visit to Kerala on 25 April.
The train will cover 11 districts in the state namely Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Pathanamthitta, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasargod.
During his visit to Kerala, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and dedicate various projects to the nation worth more than Rs. 3200 crores.
Prime Minister Modi will also dedicate the Kochi water metro to the nation.
The Kochi Water Metro is one of its kind project connecting 10 islands around Kochi through battery-operated electric hybrid boats for seamless connectivity with Kochi city.
During the event, PM Modi will also lay the foundation of various rail projects including redevelopment of Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode, Varkala Sivagiri railway stations; comprehensive development of Thiruvananthapuram area including Nemon and Kochuveli and increasing of sectional speed of Thiruvananthapuram-Shoranur section.
