Uttar Pradesh Madarsa Shiksha Parishad has called for mandatory videography of Independence Day celebrations in madrasas across the state, Times Now has reported.
Issuing a circular, the body has also directed all madrasas affiliated to it to unfurl the national flag and recite the national anthem on 15 August.

This is likely the first time that the Parishad has asked madrasas to hold cultural programmes on Independence Day. According to Zee News, the Yogi Adityanath government had recently asked madrasas in the state to pay tribute to freedom fighters and hold cultural programmes on 15 August.
The circular issued to district minority welfare officers urges them to keep video recordings of the events at all the madrasas. It also calls for holding cultural programmes based on the theme of national unity.
