After significant brouhaha, Vivek Oberoi starrer film 'PM Narendra Modi' is now set to release on 11 April 2019, after its release was postponed indefinitely on 4 April 2019.
The news broke as the producer of the film, Sandip Ssingh took to twitter to apprise the people about the same and wrote, "PM Narendra Modi" is officially releasing on 11 April, 2019.
The development has happened in a day after the makers of the film had deferred the release from planned 5 April 2019 owing to the Supreme Court's decision to hear a plea by Congress spokesman Aman Pawar, against the movie's release on 8 April 2019.
Oberoi, who plays the protagonist's role in the movie also took to twitter and shared, "Thank you to each and every one of you for your blessings, love and support. Thank you to the Indian judiciary. We hope you like the film and that it inspires you all. Jai Hind!"
The movie was initially planned to be released on 12 April 2019, just a day after the first phase of voting for the Lok Sabha polls. However as per an interview given by the Director Umang Kumar to The Quint, owing to the megastarrer 'Kalank' releasing in the same slot, the makers then decided to pre-pone the release to 5 April 2019. On the other hand, it is also believed that the movie was preponed because of the political pressure from opposition parties.
