Arun Jaitley Cremated With Full State Honours Following Funeral Procession Led By BJP Stalwart L K Advani

Former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley was today cremated with full state honours at the Nigambodh Ghat in New Delhi in presence of grieving friends and family members, News18 reported.
Senior government functionaries like Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Vice President Venkaiah Naidu were present at the funeral. Senior BJP leader L K Advani led the funeral procession of Jaitley.
Earlier in the day, Jaitley’s mortal remains were placed at the BJP headquarters in the city where various party functionaries and workers paid their tributes. Later in the afternoon a cavalcade left for Nigambodh Ghat for Jaitley’s final journey.
Jaitley passed away yesterday (24 August) at the AIIMS where he was admitted on 9 August following complaints of breathlessness and restlessness. He was 66.
