Arvind Trivedi, Actor Who Played Raavan In Famed Ramayan Series, Dies At 82

Actor Arvind Trivedi, who is best known for his role of Raavan in hugely popular Ramayan TV series, died Tuesday night following a heart attack. He was 82.
He was keeping unwell since past few months and last night suffered a heart attack. The news of his death was confirmed by his nephew Kaustubh Trivedi.
Actor Sunil Lahiri, who played the role of Laxman in Ramayan, wrote on Twitter (as translated from Hindi), "This is a very sad news. Our dear Arvind Bhai is no longer with us. May God bring peace to his soul. I am speechless I lost father figure my guide well wisher and gentleman."

In his career spanning over 40 years, he acted in close to 300 Gujarati and Hindi films. Arvind Trivedi also featured on the show Vikram Aur Betaal.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi too took to Twitter to remember the Ramayan actor and stated, "We have lost Shri Arvind Trivedi, who was not only an exceptional actor but also was passionate about public service. For generations of Indians, he will be remembered for his work in the Ramayan TV serial. Condolences to the families and admirers of both actors. Om Shanti."
