Husband of Congress party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Robert Vadra said on Sunday (7 April) that he would be campaigning for the Congress Party all over India during Lok Sabha elections.
Vadra also said that he will be present with his mother-in-law Sonia Gandhi and brother-in-law Rahul Gandhi when they file their nominations for elections from Rae Bareli and Amethi on 11 and 10 April 2019 respectively.
Vadra's comments drew in instant reactions from heavyweights in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Taking a dig, senior leader and Union Minister Smriti Irani said at all places where Vadra goes to campaign, people there should get alert and save their lands, pointing to major land scams in which Vadra has been allegedly accused.
