The Chhattisgarh government has announced that it will develop places on ‘Ram Van Gaman Path’, the route taken by Lord Ram during his 14-year exile, as a tourist spot, reports Times of India.
As per reports, the decision was taken during a cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
Cabinet has also decided to constitute a team of four members for survey and development of tourist spots.
As per official research, Lord Ram had travelled through over 75 places in Chhattisgarh while stayed at 51 of these spots.
Reportedly, Sitamadi-Harchaika in Koriya district, Ramgarh in Sarguja district, Shivrinarayan in Janjgir-Champa district, Turturiya of Balodabazar-Bhatapara district, Chandkhuri of Raipur district, Rajim of Gariaband district, Sihava (Sapt Rishi Ashram) in Dhamtari district, and Jagdalpur in Bastar district are among the eight places that would be developed as tourist spots in the first phase.
