With elections scheduled to take place in the state of Telangana, a senior leader from the Indian National Congress has courted controversy as he went on record in a press conference at Warangal to state that his “seniority” in being a rowdy sheeter should prove to be meritorious in earning him a ticket for the assembly polls.
In the press conference, he said he was the “most deserving” candidate for the assembly ticket for the constituency of Palakurthy in Warangal. Several leaders have reportedly come out in support of the leader and have opined that he must get the ticket.
