FIR Registered Against Shabana Azmi’s Car Driver For Rash Driving

An FIR has been registered against Shabana Azmi's driver after she met with a road accident on Mumbai-Pune expressway on Saturday (18 January), reports India Today.
As per reports, the complaint was filed by the driver of the truck, named Rajesh Pandurang Shinde, that was hit from behind by Shabana Azmi’s car against the driver of car identified as Amlesh Yogendra Kamat.
"Due to rash driving by the driver, the car hit the moving truck on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway which resulted in the accident," the FIR copy read.
As per preliminary information, her car, in which her husband and National Award winning poet-lyricist Javed Akhtar was also travelling, dashed against a truck on the highway on the Mumbai-Pune lane around 4.15 pm, according to a highway patrol policeman, Babasaheb Chemate.
The injured actress was brought out of the car, kept on the road briefly, and later rushed to the MGM Hospital at Kamothe in Navi Mumbai.
The 69-year old actress is undergoing treatment and tests to ascertain the extent of her injuries, official sources said.
Her husband lyricist Javed Akhtar, who was travelling with her, escaped with a minor injury.
