In June, foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) displayed their confidence in Indian equities by investing over Rs 30,600 crore.
They are optimistic about the country's stable macroeconomic profile and strong corporate earnings outlook.
According to data from the depositories, FPIs invested Rs 43,838 crore in equities in May, which marked a nine-month high, Rs 11,631 crore in April, and Rs 7,936 crore in March.
During January-February, FPIs had pulled out over Rs 34,000 crore.
Data shows that FPIs invested a net sum of Rs 30,664 crore in Indian equities between 1 and 23 June.
In addition to equities, FPIs have invested Rs 3,051 crore in the debt market during the period under review due to the attractive yields offered by Indian debt securities.
In 2023, Indian equities received over Rs 59,900 crore from foreign investors, while the debt markets have seen an investment of nearly Rs 4,500 crore.

Do freebies still sway voters? Do people prioritise infrastructure when voting? How will Punjab vote?
The answers to these questions provide great insights into where we, as a country, are headed in the years to come.
Swarajya is starting a project with an aim to do 50 solid ground stories and a smart commentary service on WhatsApp, a one-of-a-kind. We'd love your support during this election season.
