Renowned helmet maker Studds Accessories on Monday (10 August) announced the opening of Asia’s largest helmet manufacturing facility in Haryana's Faridabad, reports Times of India.
Spread across an area of 5.5 acres and set up with an overall investment of Rs 200 crore, the facility will not only produce some of the companies' most popular motorcycle helmets like Shifter and Thunder series but will also venture into production of bicycle helmets for the domestic market.
In addition to this, Studds had recently also begun operations at one of its other manufacturing plants which is India's only facility with an in-house Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) production line.
Sidhartha Bhushan Khurana, the managing director of Studds Accessories said, “This is a huge milestone for all of us at Studds as we move forward in the post-COVID era."
Khurana added, "This step is a testament to our commitment towards Make in India, for the world, reaffirming our role as the market leaders, with integrating some of the best manufacturing practices from across the globe."
The investment also comes as a boost for Haryana’s industrial city of Faridabad which is known for housing some of the celebrated Indian manufacturing giants, including Escorts Limited which has its tractor production facilities in the city.
