The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) of Uttar Pradesh has revealed that a team of the Special Task Force (STF) will probe into the conspiracy to kindle riots on the ethnic and communal front in the backdrop of the Hathras incident, reports ANI.
Furthermore, a case has been lodged regarding the matter at the Chandpa police station in Hathras. The decision to formulate this special unit of the STF was taken after it emerged that international hands were involved in defaming the Yogi Adityanath-led government in the state.
“Special unit of STF will investigate the conspiracy to incite ethnic and communal riots in the state on the pretext of Hathras. Case registered in Chandpa police station of Hathras referred to a special unit of STF. Large funding and conspiracies were done to discredit the Yogi government from all Islamic countries including Pakistan, the UAE and Bangladesh. Along with spreading fake information, edited photographs and rumours, a big effort was made to spread ethnic and communal riots in the state by inciting the victim's circuit,” a statement from the CMO read.
On October 7, an FIR was recorded against four people belonging to the Popular Front of India (PFI) in Mathura for going to Hathras to disrupt peace. This was reportedly a part of the “larger conspiracy”. Directorate of Enforcement (ED) is already grilling and interrogating these individuals.
The FIR also points at certain media reports that revealed the intentions of some anti-social elements to provoke factions between different castes and thus disrupt the harmony of the society. Meanwhile, the four accused of causing the girl’s death in Hathras are under arrest and investigations are going on in the incident.
