On a visit to Raebareli with her mother Sonia Gandhi, who represents the constituency, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra came down heavily on party workers while addressing them over the Congress’s poor performance in the Lok Sabha elections, reports The Hindu.
Vadra, who herself was the Congress general secretary for Eastern UP, pinning the blame on party workers for the poll debacle.
“I will find out the names of the workers who did not work for the party in the elections,” she stated.
Vadra also told party workers that those who were not entirely devoted to the party’s efforts would not be allowed to continue as part of the Congress in Raebareli and in Uttar Pradesh.
“You make up your mind, if you want to work in right earnest, you have to struggle, this is all I have to say,” she remarked.
Also taking a swipe at the ruling party as well, Vadra claimed that they had maintained power by “crossing all limits of dignity”.
