GUVI, a startup incubated by Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M), is working to revolutionise the recruitment process for Indian students. The company on Tuesday (2 April) brought together the tech community from across the country under one roof in IIT-M campus through its ‘GUVI Community Conference’ to facilitate interaction among various stakeholders, a statement by the Institution said, reports The New Indian Express.
According to the report, GUVI is an online technical learning platform that had been started as YouTube channel by experts to share their technical learnings. GUVI Community Conference, unlike the traditional interview process where students are assessed only for a particular skills in short period of time, provides students with the opportunity to show their talents holistically including coding skills, problem-solving and design thinking,
Instead of the time-constrained interview system, the new format reportedly gives the students a week’s time to come out with a solution to a problem statement shared by the recruiter/tech company and present the solution to the companies during the GUVI conference.
