In Pakistan, a police officer was stabbed by a member of the Tableeghi Jamaat with a knife in a bid to escape on Sunday (29 March), as per several reports.
As per Dawn.com, the administration of Layyah district had gathered several Tablighi teams and declared the local Markaz a quarantine centre for 235 people.
Some people, however, tried to escape. When the local police in-charge, Mohammad Ashraf Maakhi, reached the spot, a Tableeghi Jamaat member stabbed him with a knife and escaped.
The local Superintendent of Police Atif Nazar took to Twitter to share details:
Police officer at Layyah got injured by sharp edge weapon while suspect of #cornoravirus patient tried to flee from quarantine centre. Need to understand the fact that Police is trying to stop the spread of #COVID19 . Listen to them and respect them for their duty. pic.twitter.com/x6qJbxAgao

The report says at least 27 out of 25 members of the Jamaat screened at Tableeghi Markaz in Raiwind area tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday.
In India, a congregation of Tableeghi Jamaat in New Delhi’s Nizamuddin area has emerged to be a super spreader of Coronavirus.
