Infosys CFO MD Ranganath Resigns After Working At The Company For 18 Years

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Infosys MD Ranganath has resigned after working at the company for 18 years, Livemint has reported. His resignation was accepted by the company’s board on Saturday (18 August).
Popularly known as Ranga, he was appointed as the CFO in 2015. He would continue in his role till 16 November. Before being the CFO, Ranganath played various leadership roles in areas like consulting, finance, strategy, risk management and mergers & acquisitions.
In a stock exchange filing to announce the resignation, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Infosys Salil Parekh said he admires Ranganath’s strong financial acumen and ability to deliver consistent results. He also expressed confidence that the outgoing CFO would ensure a smooth transition.
Ranganath in a statement reasoned that he now plans to pursue professional opportunities in new areas. He also thanked Infosys for giving him a chance to serve as its CFO.
Infosys’ chairman Nandan Nilekani said that Ranganath delivered a strong financial performance on multiple fronts during his stint as the CFO. Nilekani on behalf of the board also thanked Ranganath for his excellent contributions.
Infosys would immediately start searching for the replacement of their outgoing CFO.
