Jammu On Alert After Explosions At Airport; Suspected Militant With IED Arrested

In a major development, the administration has sounded an alert across the Jammu division following explosions inside the Jammu's airport's technical area earlier today at around 1.42 am, reports Indian Express.
As a result of the explosions, one person was injured after being likely hit by a splinter. It is being said that the explosions were so powerful that it was heard till a distance of around a kilometre from the site.
As per information shared by Defence PRO Lt Colonel Devender Anand, there has been no injury to any personnel or damage to any equipment.
It should be noted that following the explosions, the Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) Police has arrested a suspected militant from near a shopping mall in the jurisdiction of Trikuta Nagar Police station with possession of an IED. As per information shared by the Additional Director General of Police Mukesh Singh, the IED weighed nearly 5 kilograms.
It is also being said that the J&K Police also apprehended an over-ground worker along with the said militant.
