Jharkhand Foundation Day: CM’s Announcements To Include ‘Open Defecation Free’ Status Among Other Developments

Chief Minister of Jharkhand Raghubar Das will distribute 1,000 crores worth of assets among people to celebrate the eighteenth Foundation Day of Jharkhand on 15 November.
CM Das is also expected to hand over appointments to 2,000 youth apart from announcing a separate Tribal Affairs Department for state tribals.
Most importantly, CM Das is set to announce that Jharkhand is Open Defecation Free (ODF) and release a coffee table book based on the topic. A presentation on the complete electrification of five districts in Jharkhand is also expected.
“The chief minister will announce several infrastructural projects for different districts, including cold storage for Gumla, colleges in Pakur, Dumka, Latehar and Simdega, solid waste management plant for Pakur and Sahebganj and also inaugurate several projects which have already been completed at a combined expense of around Rs 1,000 crore,” said a senior official in the state government, requesting anonymity.
The grand ceremony, being organised at Morhabadi Maidaan in Ranchi is expected to be attended by Governor Droupadi Murmu. BJP National President Amit Shah has expressed his inability to attend this prestigious event.
