Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced on Wednesday (5 February) that the Ram Mandir Trust will have 15 members from different sections of the society and among them one will be from the Dalit community.
Amit Shah tweeted that one member of the 15-member Trust will always be from the Dalit community. "I congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this unprecedented decision to strengthen communal harmony," Shah added.

The trust will function as an independent body, capable of taking all decisions regarding the construction of the temple, said Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
"Thank you to Modiji for setting up an autonomous trust to build a grand temple at the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram.The 'Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra' trust will be completely independent and capable of taking all decisions related to temple construction. Jai Shree Ram!" Adityanath tweeted thanking the Narendra Modi government for taking a step closer to building the temple.

As confirmed by Supreme Court lawyer Subhendhu Anand, who was one of the members of the team that represented Ram Lalla Virajman, senior advocate K Parasaran too will be a member of the trust.
After the registration of the trust, which has been named as - Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi Tirtha Kshetra', its possession was handed over to Parasaran.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi announced that the cabinet had officially approved the creation of the Ram Mandir trust.
“We have taken another big step for Ram Mandir pilgrims. We are allocating over 67 hectares of land near the mandir area to the trust… We want people of all religions and community in India to thrive,” Prime Minister Modi said.
The trust will be free to take all decisions with regards to building a magnificent temple at the Ram Janmabhoomi site.
