In a shocking incident, four youths in Bazarkhala area of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh allegedly burnt national flag and raised anti-national slogans while making a TikTok video, reports News18.
The appalling act was apparently done to get quick fame on the Chinese app. As per reports, the locals opposed the said act and managed to catch hold of one of the accused, who happens to be a minor, while his three companions managed to escape.
The police have arrested the minor and are in lookout for the other three accused. They have also registered a case under relevant sections.
As per reports, an FIR, under stringent IPC sections 124 (A), 153 (A), 504, 505 (1) (B) (2), 352, 325, 506 and Rashtriya Gaurav Insult Prevention Act 2, has been registered in Bazarkhala police station, against the accused.
Inspector Bazarkhala Vijendra Singh said that late Sunday evening, Ravikant, a resident of Rajajipuram, had given a complaint in the police station. According to the report, Ravikant was cycling near Tikait Rai pond in the evening when he saw four youths burning the national flag and shouting anti-national slogans while making videos.
When Ravikant tried to stop them, he was confronted by the youths. Seeing the commotion, another man named Rupesh Gupta intervened. Ravikant and Rupesh managed to catch the minor boy while the other three fled. A crowd also gathered there shortly and took the minor to Bazarkhala police station, where the police took him into custody and lodged a complaint against all the four youths based on Ravikant Singh’s complaint.
