Mission Shakti: Every Police Station In UP To Have Glass Rooms, Help Desk For Female Complainants

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has flagged off the ‘Mission Shakti’ campaign to ensure that the safety of women receives topmost priority. Under the initiative, it has been announced that all the police stations in the state will have a glass room for women complainants to file their grievances in front of a female police personnel.
Hindustan Times has reported that a women help desk will be installed in all 1,535 police stations too. The CM has assured that a CCTV camera and a computer will be provided in each of these desks.
The female complainants will be provided the required stationery to write their complaints. Moreover, all the helpline numbers such as 1090, 181, 112, 1076, 1098 and 102 will be displayed at the secret rooms and the help desks for the convenience of the women citizens.
CM Yogi has asserted that chief secretary and the other officers in the CMO will evaluate the performances of the different government departments associated with Mission Shakti. Programs related to this initiative will be organized in different educational institutes.
The chief minister discussed these measures with female teachers, women police personnel and the representatives stationed in help desks of different police stations in districts like Agra, Meerut, Varanasi, Lucknow and Gautam Buddha Nagar.
