Mumbai: With 15 New Cases, Total Tally Reaches 43 In Dharavi; Police Barricade The Area

In a worrying development, the total number of covid-19 positive cases in the densely populated area of Dharavi in Mumbai reached 43 on Sunday (12 April), while four people have died in the area due the deadly infection, reports Times of India.
As per the report, 15 new cases were recorded from the region on Sunday morning.
Earlier, the Mumbai police had barricaded the Dharavi region to contain the growing coronavirus cases.

It should be noted that eleven deaths and 189 new coronavirus cases were reported from Mumbai on Saturday, taking the total number of cases to 1,182 in the city as the death toll rose to 75.
The novel coronavirus continue to wreak havoc across the world. Total number of confirmed cases of novel coronavirus in India has soared to 8,356. 909 fresh cases and 34 new deaths in the last 24 hours have been reported according to the data published by the Union Health Ministry on Sunday (12 April).
Maharashtra remained the worst hit state with a total number of positive cases rising to 1,761. In line with the development, the state government has decided to extend the lockdown till 30 April.
