National Commission for Women chairperson Rekha Sharma has demanded action against Tamil actor Siddharth Suryanarayan, known mononymously as Siddharth for his tweet laced with sexual innuendo targeting Olympic medal winner and badminton champion Saina Nehwal.
Saina Naiwal had tweeted expressing concern over lapses in PM Modi's security that left his convoy's stranded close to 20 minutes on a flyover in Punjab's Bathinda
"No nation can claim itself to be safe if the security of its own PM gets compromised. I condemn, in the strongest words possible, the cowardly attack on PM Modi by anarchists," Sainal Nehwal tweeted.
Retweeting Sainal Nehwal, Siddharth replied "Subtle cock champion of the world... Thank God we have protectors of India. Folded hands. Shame on you Rihanna."

After the actor's tweet received widespread condemnation, National Commission for Women (NCW) chairperson Rekha Sharma said that she has written to Director General Of Police, Maharashtra to investigate and registering FIR in the matter.
NCW has also written to Twitter representative in India asking the actor’s account to be blocked and requested appropriate action against him for posting such remarks.
Responded to the lewd tweet made on her by actor Siddharth. Saina Nehwal said, “Ya I’m not sure what he meant. I used to like him as an actor but this was not nice. He can express himself with better words but I guess it’s Twitter n u remain noticed with such words n comments."
