NITI Aayog Announces Lucky Draw Schemes To Reward Consumers And Merchants Who Go Digital

The NITI Aayog has launched two schemes for consumers and merchants who make and accept digital payments in order to promote cashless transactions.
NITI Aayog chief executive Amitabh Kant announced today (15 December) a 'Lucky Grahak Yojna' that would reward consumers through a daily, as well as a weekly, draw on transactions worth Rs 50 to Rs 3,000 with a maximum reward of up to Rs 1 lakh. A 'Digi Dhan Yojna' aimed at merchants would have a maximum reward of Rs 50,000 per week.
The scheme would commence from 25 December and last till 14 April. On the last day, mega awards of Rs 1 crore, Rs 50 lakh and Rs 25 lakh respectively, will be given out to consumers and Rs 50 lakh, Rs 25 lakh and Rs 5 lakh to merchants.
