Odisha's Covid-19 Tally Crosses 3,000 Mark With 146 New Cases, 61 Bengal Returnee NDRF, ODRAF Personnel Test Positive

As many as 146 more people, including 61 NDRF and ODRAF personnel tested corona positive in the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 3,140 in Odisha, said the state health department on Tuesday (9 June).
Out of the 146 cases, 127 were detected in quarantine while 19 are local contact cases, the department said.
All 61 personnel of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF), who tested positive had returned from West Bengal after cyclone Amphan restoration work.
Currently, Odisha has 1,136 active cases with 1,993 recoveries and nine deaths.
Of the total cases, the highest 649 Covid-19 positive cases have been found in Ganjam district, followed by 326 infections in Jajpur, 276 in Khurdha, 197 in Balasore,189 in Cuttack, 169 in Kendrapada,151 in Bhadrak, 123 in Balangir, 118 in Sundergarh,108 in Puri, 97 in Jagatsinghpur, 93 in Nayagarh, 79 in Mayurbhanj, 72 in Nuapada, and 61 in Gajapati.
Other districts that have reported 50 or less cases include Keonjhar (45), Dhenkanal (39), Deogarh (38), Kandhamal (37), Boudh (34) , Angul (33), Kalahandi (32), Sonepur (29), Malkangiri (22), Sambalpur (17), Koraput (16), Baragarh (16), Jharsuguda (8), Rayagada (3) and Nawarangpur (2).
